Definition:
The MA Jurisprudence and Islamic Teachings is one of the programs in which the students pass the major seminary modules (Principles of Islamic law and Jurisprudence) and then select and pass one of the fields in Islamic teachings and over successful completion of the program they receive MA in Jurisprudence and Islamic Teaching (in the related field).
Program’s Objective:
In compliance with the general rules of Founding and Running Higher Education Institutions, the MA Jurisprudence and Islamic Teachings will follow these objectives:
1. Instructing students to become Islamic expert, researcher and lecturer to get involved in undergraduate related programs;
2. Training religious scholars and Islamic disseminators who expand and culture of Islam and the teachings of Ahl-e Bayt (a.s) nationally and internationally;
3. Training the students interested in research, authoring, teaching and translating in different fields of Islamic teachings;
4. Preserving the seminary’s traditions and positive attributes and strengthening its constructive points while utilizing the valuable experiences of universities for training students and disseminators of Islam who are up-to-date about the issues.
Role and Effectiveness:
With the knowledge acquired during the course, the graduates can act as disseminator, researcher and lecturer in different fields such as culture and university related jobs within and outside the country; they can also continue their education in upper levels and get prepared for doctoral training and thereby have a more effective role in expansion and elevation of the Islamic culture and providing it to other people.
Program’s Structure:
The program is studied over 4 years; the modules are credit-based studied in 8 semesters. The theoretical course units take 16 weeks in each semester and each theoretical and practical credit is 16 and 32 hours respectively.
